THE PLYMOUTH BRETHREN earned themselves much local gratitude – and seven column inches in the “West Sussex Gazette” – when they distributed free food and Bibles to their local community in Felpham. On a cold winter Saturday, they fed 47 visitors, who were surprised that it was all free!

Visitors also took home Bible packs containing a Bible and collection of Gospel tracts. Of the 60 distributed, many were intended for children and friends.

The event had been advertised in the local area by flyers – I picked up one at Westergate petrol station – and overran its allotted hour.

This was the first time the Brethren had held a public outreach event at their Middleton Road Gospel Hall; previously they had held similar events at Aldingbourne and Bognor.
