The fellowship of the community Church in Deal were told last Sunday that their pastor Greg Bridges is stepping down after leading the church for nine years.

The church has recently seen great advancement in its mission moving to the old Baptist church in Victoria Road, Deal, where it has merged with the congregation to produce a lively and busy fellowship.

After the announcement, Greg preached and played his bongo drums at worship. Greg felt that God had lead him to his decision and he will, for a time, worship in the Apostolic Church in Whitfield.

“I am sure I will preach again in the future,” he said at the end of the service Elder Michael Yeoman also announced that he would be moving to pastures new to continue his calling.

“I am not sure where I will go next but my wife and I have felt called to move on for some time and now it is the right time to do so,” he said.
