FOUR HUNDRED church-goers from many Hastings and St Leonards churches gathered for their annual unity service on 26 January at Kings Church to be addressed on the theme “The Call of the Kingdom” by Rev Richard Jackson, who has since been appointed Bishop of Lewes.

A major element of the meeting was the displays by 29 different community organisations, of which three had won awards as “Hastings Achievers” sponsored by the Hastings Observer. The Mayor of Hastings, Councillor Alan Roberts, Council Leader and other councillors attended the service.
