Joan Daniel, 94, stopped breathing for 17 minutes after pre-operative drugs caused a heart attack before a gynaecological procedure in 1980. The grandmother of seven from Romsey, Hampshire, told HEART, “While I was ‘gone’ I experienced Jesus taking me over a threshold and we walked side by side together.” The medical team worked to resuscitate her and she eventually regained consciousness, although it took two weeks to fully recover her memory faculties. “My testimony is ‘Little girl, arise!’ like Jesus told the girl in Mark 5:41,” she says.
