A MIRACLE BABY BORN at 23 weeks – within the time frame of up to 24 weeks allowed for abortions – has been safely taken home (January 2015) after six months in hospital.

Bella Davison with her mum Vicky Jackson. Bella’s birth at 23 weeks raises questions over the 24 week abortion limit

Bella Davison was born weighing just 1lb 4oz to parents Vicky Jackson, 30, and Graeme Davison, 38, last October, 2014. Her twin sister Sofia tragically died but Bella survived with the help of medical staff at Newcastle’s Royal Infirmary. Mum Vicky has now called for the abortion limit to be lowered to 10 weeks.

She said: “Bella is living proof that babies can survive at 23 weeks old.”
