The renewal at Capstone has been marked by powerful worship

It seems the only way is indeed Essex as a church in Ilford is experiencing a renewal which has drawn visitors from all over the country and abroad

Since June this year, meetings at Capstone Church, Ilford, have continued every week from Wednesday to Saturday in addition to their Sunday services.

In the first 12 weeks the 200-strong church had around 1,200 visitors, and there are many testimonies of miracles and healings.

Revivals researcher Michael Marcel says: “I believe that a new move of God has begun in our nation.

“There is currently a move of God going on in San Diego, under the ministry of Jerame and Miranda Nelson… Since January last year they have had over 400 meetings.

“The Lord told Jerame that he needed to get to England, so he contacted the pastor of Capstone Church, who he was in relationship with, and asked if he could put on a conference in five days’ time. Rakesh and Preethy Kurian, the pastors of Capstone, are Indians who came to this nation for one purpose – revival – so they immediately said yes.

“A pastor from Preston brought down a minibus full of his congregation during the first week, and he then livestreamed the meetings four times a week into his church and he says something has begun there. He is now doing his own meetings three times a week.”

Pastor Rakesh Kurian says: “We have had people from every denomination coming. About 3,000 people also watch the meetings online. We did not plan for the meetings to carry on. This was God’s doing.”

His wife, Pastor Preethy Kurian adds: “We see this as an answer to years of prayer and are delighted and expecting this move of God to bring fresh life, hope and joy for London, UK and Europe. We have extended the meetings until the end of October.

“We are humbled and honoured by what God is doing. We want to invite everyone who can to come and be a part of what God is doing.”

A visitor to the meetings, reported at spiritbodysoul.com, says: “I have been several times since it started and saw a great hunger and desire for God, for revival and evangelism, and the fire of the Lord’s presence is clearly evident.

“There is wonderful prophetic, spontaneous and intimate worship, many powerful prophecies are being given and people are getting saved, recommitting themselves to Jesus and getting healed… I cried for several hours as the Lord did a deep healing work in me and I encountered his wonderful power and glory.

“I have also laughed a lot, and only just managed to stop myself laughing and crying at work!”
