The Quakers of Britain have announced a boycott of Israel. Their national representative body decided at their annual meeting that they will not invest any of their centrally held funds in “companies profiting from the occupation of Palestine”.

The Methodist movement has also made negative noises about Israel in recent years, flying in the face of their founder John Wesley who, some 250 years ago, preached of Jewish restoration to their ancient land.

Funny how such moves seem to parallel a decline in numbers and influence.
