So-called renewable energies, along with net zero policies, are a catastrophically expensive, unnecessary and destructive scam that will keep hundreds of millions in poverty, not lift them out of it, says James Smith

In ‘The Screwtape Letters’, C S Lewis warned about “Christianity and …”, where Christians add things to the Gospel and make them central.

That’s what’s happened with man-made climate change; essentially it is a lie based on an atheistic, evolutionary, uniformitarian world view that rejects what Genesis teaches about the beginning of this planet and what Revelation teaches about the end.

Seeing Christians being deceived and tossed to and fro by the lie of climate change is the inevitable consequence of first rejecting the biblical account of creation:

“… that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness by which they lie in wait to deceive, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into him who is the head—Christ –” (Ephesians 4:14-15).

Lord Acton warned, “Official truth is not actual truth” and George Orwell observed, “Political language … is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind”.

The World Economic Forum’s ‘Great Reset’
The World Economic Forum’s ‘Great Reset’ initiative aims to move humanity towards its
prediction that by 2030, “You’ll own nothing. And you’ll be happy” (video available on
weforum.org)

The “official truth” is humanity’s abuse of the planet has caused a climate emergency that demands immediate action to save it; a claim that’s “pure wind”. The actual truth is that there’s no climate emergency but it’s politically expedient to scare us into believing there is.

A UN plan for the global control of energy, water, food resources, land, mineral resources and human beings

Why? Because, as we’ve seen with Covid, people will willingly surrender both money and freedom to central government control when they’ve been injected with enough fear.

Environmental movement

Rather than being a grassroots initiative, the environmental movement originated with the Club of Rome, a “think tank” formed in 1968 at David Rockefeller’s private estate in Bellagio, Italy. The aim was to formulate a crisis that could be used as a Trojan Horse to convince the world of the need for a One World Government.

Their intentions were outlined in ‘The First Global Revolution – A Report by the Council of the Club of Rome’. In chapter 5, titled ‘The Vacuum’, under a sub-heading of ‘The Common Enemy of Humanity is Man’, it states:

In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill … All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself (page 115).

Maurice Strong, a key member of the Club of Rome, played a central role in globalising the political language of the environmental movement, giving it the appearance of solidity, and weaving it into world government policy through the United Nations (UN). He stood behind the shoulder of every UN Secretary General since U Thant in the early 1960s; his roles within the UN are too numerous to list.

COP, the annual global climate summit of 197 nations, is a UN initiative; it provides the single largest geo-political forum for nations to come together with one goal.

Strong was a Foundation Board member of the World Economic Forum (WEF), the globalist cabal responsible for the coming ‘Great Reset’ where “you’ll own nothing and be happy”. Upon Strong’s death in 2015, Executive Chairman of the WEF, Klaus Schwab, described him as “My mentor since the creation of the Forum: a great friend; an indispensable adviser and … without him, the Forum would not have achieved its present significance”.

People will willingly surrender both money and freedom to central government control when they’ve been injected with enough fear

Strong was central to the 1997 Kyoto Treaty, from which the UN’s Agenda 21 emerged. This is a UN plan for the global control of energy, water, food resources, land, mineral resources and human beings; subsequently in September 2015 it became Agenda 2030 iwith the WEF at the forefront of its goal of reducing C02 emissions to zero by the year 2030.

Fear campaign

With the long-term agenda of a One World Government established, the fear campaign began.

Back in the 70s, we were warned of a coming new ice age if we didn’t surrender our money and freedom. Then in the 80s, we were threatened with death by ozone hole if we didn’t surrender our money and freedom, and then destruction by acid rain if we didn’t surrender our money and freedom.

By the time they started warning we would end up either on fire or under water from global warming, they had cried wolf once too often; I was still looking forward to enjoying more frequent white Christmases from the coming ice age.

In the 2006 film, ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, Al Gore cried wolf that humanity had only ten years left before the world would reach the point of no return.

In 2009, (then) Prince Charles cried wolf that we had only eight years to save the world from irreversible climate and eco-system collapse.

All the false Canidae tears finally let the cat out of the bag that the globe isn’t actually warming. However, rather than admit the game was up, the bag was quickly relabelled “climate change”, a fiendishly clever, more inclusive term allowing any and all extreme weather events to be blamed on humanity.

Any hot spell, cold spell, drought or flood, is all stuffed in the bag labelled climate change and blamed on humanity. The unfortunate moggy of truth was quickly rustled back in the bag and hasn’t been seen since. If you try hard enough, you may occasionally hear it whimpering to get out, but as far as mainstream media is concerned, the cat never even existed.

Thank God for CO2!

Interfaith Climate Repentance Ceremony
Religious trappings: At an Interfaith Climate Repentance Ceremony held on Mount Sinai on 13 November to coincide with COP27, Israeli
activist Yosef Abramowitz symbolically smashed two tablets. Then the new ‘Ten Principles for Climate Repentance’, a document drafted by dozens of multifaith leaders in London, was read out, according to The Times of Israel

We’ve been sold the lie that CO2 is a dangerous ‘greenhouse gas’, a term invented to describe a gas that keeps heat in the atmosphere, like a greenhouse keeps heat in (water vapour is also classed as a ‘greenhouse gas’). Any gardener will tell you that when CO2 is pumped into a greenhouse, it increases both the size and yield of plants.

Rather than being a pollutant, CO2 is a plant food essential to all life on earth and the ecosystem God created; photosynthesis is just one of his blessings.

The truth is that anthropogenic climate change and the control of CO2 is deeply rooted in a radical, misguided and ultimately devilish campaign to reduce the world’s population. As the Club of Rome declared, “The real enemy, then, is humanity itself”.

Religious fervour

Spirituality is central to the environmental movement, but not Christian spirituality. It’s a pagan New Age spirit directing the religious fervour of the environmental movement.

This is well demonstrated by the fact that in 1988, Strong and his wife, Hanne, created the New Age Manitou Centre on their ranch in Colorado in order to promote Gaia worship and (according to the official website) “create a sustainable inter-faith community”.

And we’ve just seen an inter-faith ‘ceremony of repentance’ take place at COP27 – this has nothing to do with repentance for our personal sins, but for our ‘sins’ against the environment.

Not-so renewable

Rather than renewable energies such as wind and solar being a no-brainer, they are a complete non-starter, in respect of cost, efficiency, sustainability and renewability. They’re hugely expensive to produce (even with government grants), provide electricity between only 10-30% of the time and solar panels present their own recycling challenge because they can contain lead, cadmium and chromium that aren’t renewable and never lose their toxicity.

In the pursuit of “net zero” emissions, internal combustion engines are being phased out and replaced with electric vehicles (EVs). However, in addition to there being no national grid on the planet capable of supporting such a flight of fantasy, there isn’t enough lithium to produce the volume of batteries needed. There’s a finite number of EVs that can be produced and if you’re not fortunate enough to own one before the combustion engine is abolished, you’ll be relying on public transport to go anywhere.

The earth will remain until Christ’s Second Coming, the event that concludes human history and the world as we know it, not a man-made climate emergency in the meantime

But it gets worse. Bearing in mind the limited lifespan of EV batteries (and their limited recycling possibilities), even those wealthy enough to own an EV now won’t be able to buy a replacement once the lithium runs out (not to mention other key components such as cobalt).

But that’s what globalist organisations like the WEF want: “You’ll own nothing and be happy”!

Own NothingSo-called renewable energies, along with net zero policies, are a catastrophically expensive, unnecessary and destructive scam that will keep hundreds of millions in poverty, not lift them out of it; the only thing that will be net zero will be people’s bank balances.

Making energy more expensive, less efficient and less available for those parts of the world still aspiring to the quality of life we’ve taken for granted since the Industrial Revolution is neither loving our neighbour as ourselves, nor being a faithful steward of the natural resources God has blessed us with. How is it “Christian” to deny someone less fortunate something we’ve benefited from and taken for granted?

Christians are called to be ambassadors for Christ, not woke social justice warriors. We shouldn’t be enthusiastically draping a flag of “Christian love” over the Trojan Horse of environmentalism because it is being used to deceive the world into embracing a global solution, ultimately a One World Government, to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. This ‘solution’ will allow the few to own everything and rule the many who will own nothing; this New World Order will culminate in one man ultimately ruling all (Revelation 13:5).

The climate has been under constant change ever since the most cataclysmic weather event took place, which is recorded in Genesis chapter 7 and concludes with God making a promise at the end of chapter 8:

Rishi Sunak
New PM Rishi Sunak has refused to commit the UK to potentially crippling ‘loss and damage’ payments to compensate developing countries for extreme weather’ events ostensibly caused by man-made climate change.
According to the Daily Sceptic, the “transparent scam” involves calls for countries that led the way in fossil fuel usage to redress some $1 trillion in global climate change costs. Ludicrously, China is among the countries asking for recompense. Daily Sceptic founder Toby Young suggests that developing nations “should be thanking us. Not asking us for compensation.” (Photo: Chris McAndrew via Wikimedia Commons)

Then the Lord said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”

The earth will remain until God says so, and until then we’ll continue to have various weather events, some extreme and some less so. It will remain until Christ’s Second Coming, the event that concludes human history and the world as we know it, not a man-made climate emergency in the meantime.

Humanity is capable of polluting this planet (and we should be good stewards of it), but not changing the climate. That power is for the Creator only.

It’s Christ, the “firstborn over all creation” who upholds this world (Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-3). It’s hubris to presume that humanity’s emission of a (God-given) “greenhouse gas” has a stronger impact on the world than Christ’s ability to uphold it!

We’re not on the brink of destroying a world that’s being upheld by our Lord and Saviour, but we are on the brink of a One World Government. The Bible teaches (in Daniel 2 and 7) that, as part of a One World Government, the world will be divided into ten regions (“kingdoms”) of rule.

The plan to divide the world into ten regions under a One World Government is a solution that’s been looking for a problem to solve for decades, and the lie of man-made climate change could be that problem. The Club of Rome proposed the introduction of a new global order in 1972, with the world divided into ten economic trading blocks. Just a coincidence?

Today, the European Commission (EC) website has a very similar world map showing ten groups of nations, designed to consolidate regional control. The EC is the executive branch of the EU, responsible for legislation, implementing decisions, upholding EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.

In conclusion, “Christianity and …” isn’t Christianity at all; it’s a form of carnal Christianity that’s conforming to this world (Romans 12:2). Focus for the Christian should be on worshipping our Creator, not his Creation; on saving souls, not the planet, and looking up for his return, not down toward earth.

We should be obedient to the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).

This is how we save the world, one life at a time.

God’s not yet done with this world and he decides when it’s over, not us.
