PAULINE GREEN from Uckfield in East Sussex got in touch after she read the cover story of a pastor’s healing in the August/September HEART OF SUSSEX. Pauline says she is a ‘walking miracle’ after being given only three months to live aged just 11. She told her story to Chris Eyte
After losing her husband in 2011, Jan Whitmore’s loss was compounded by acute physical pain, with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia. But this May, she received a complete healing. Now she feels ready to go public with her story.
FIBROMYALGIA IS A DEBILITATING ILLNESS. Symptoms include intense muscle pain that may change location and grow worse from day to day, disturbed sleep, raw nerve ends, as well as extremely tender and painful points on the body. It has been said that trauma and stress lie at the root.

JO’S TEN-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER SAYS SHE CAN ONLY DIMLY REMEMBER A TIME WHEN HER MUM was able to walk unaided.
When she was just five, mum Jo was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Now in her late thirties, Jo had endured five years of constant pain and muscle weakness which left her barely able to walk. Doctors diagnosed terminal immobility and Jo spent the next few years housebound. To move around she was given an electric wheelchair, but determinedly avoided using it.

Then one day Bruce collapsed in terrific pain. After a long series of X-rays, the doctor phoned Ann and told her there were lumps on his kidneys and that he only had a few weeks to live. They could do no more for him.
