SCHOOL CHILDREN said farewell to a church minister who has taken up a new role as a hospital chaplain.

Rev David Hill, former minister of Broadwater Baptist Church in Worthing for 25 years, attended a memorable final assembly at Downsbrook Middle School in Dominion Road on March 12. Youngsters presented him with farewell gifts and cards.

Headteacher Jonathan Grover said: “Rev Hill has been a huge supporter of Downsbrook and has been involved in regular assemblies for many years and I know the children will miss him.

“May I take this opportunity to wish him and his family all the best for his future as part of the chaplaincy team at Worthing and Chichester hospitals.”
