Christians will no longer be able to rely on support from the Crown, the Government or the state Church

Three years ago, Pastor Christy Smith of Brighton Elim Church gave a prophecy during a meeting that three signs would herald an unprecedented time for Christian life in the UK.

“We’d no longer be able to rely on the things we used to trust”, he says.

The three institutions that used to represent our Christian heritage – the Church of England, the Crown and the Government – would no longer do so.

An unprecedented time for Christian life

The first sign would be that the Queen would die and King Charles would not be the ‘Defender of the Faith’ that Christians would need –  unless there was a major change in him.

The second sign was the arrival of a non-Caucasian prime minister who had no Christian heritage. After Liz Truss was ousted from office after just 44 days, Rishi Sunak, of Indian heritage and a practising Hindu, was ushered in, contrary to Tory party rules.

The third sign was that the Anglican Church would capitulate to those proudly pursuing unbiblical relationships – and even go so far as to apologise to them. After this, with the deepening economic crisis, keeping all its buildings open would be unsustainable.

Pastor Christy says: “The three institutions which used to represent Christianity have now been compromised.”
