Former violent criminal John Lawson has written a searing autobiography which will now be available in bookshops nationwide. This is your opportunity to meet the man, buy the book and use it to show people that there is no mental prison that Jesus cannot unlock

IF A WICKED MAN (Roper Penberthy Publishing) is being released into the True Crime Genre on 31 March 2016. It tells the story of John Lawson, a former violent criminal, enforcer for gangsters, bodyguard, biker gang member and manager in the sex industry. John reluctantly attended a Bible study class while serving a five-year prison sentence for extortion. It was there that he first experienced a dramatic life-changing encounter with Jesus, after taking to heart the invitation in Ezekiel 18:27-28: “Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive. Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.” The scripture continues in verse 31 to say: “Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.”

Taking this seriously, John received a new heart and spirit and surrendered his life to Christ.

For the last eight years John has been in full-time voluntary ministry, speaking in schools, colleges, community outreach events, churches and in some of the toughest prisons on the planet as an evangelist with Escape Ministries. He lives in Seaford, East Sussex with his wife and family.

John is delighted that his book will be available in general bookshops and says, “Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I urge you to get behind this evangelistic tool as a means of placing the Gospel into the hands of the lost.”
