Islamic State fundamentalists have issued a warning to Pope Francis that he should not think he is safe.

The Pope has been targeted by al-Abd al-Faqir – one of several extremist media groups that support Isis

According to Premier, the al-Abd al-Faqir group, linked to terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (Isis), has promised grenade attacks against the pontiff and released several threatening images, including one of a man with an Isis wristband pointing a gun at the Catholic leader.

The caption reads: “Don’t think you are away from our attacks.”
