Much of the talk about how to cope with current and impending worldwide upheavals tends to engender fear, worry and confusion.

None of that is of God. All believers are his children. Therefore we are his heirs and bona fide members of his household (Galatians 4:4-7).

Those who won’t look after members of their household are worse than unbelievers or infidels.

(1 Timothy 5:8) Obviously, God is neither an unbeliever nor is he an infidel! So you can trust that he will care for you if you are a believer (Romans 10: 9-10).

Besides, God has already made available to you everything you will ever need “for life and godliness.” (2 Peter 1:2-3) They are “in heavenly places”, so pray for the Holy Spirit to show you how to bring them into the natural.

Prepping for suffering

Patrick Sookhdeo, founder of Barnabas Fund, with much experience in the field of suffering for Christ, has written a book about the practical spiritual preparation.

Go to read a resume and summary of chapter 7. If you don’t have internet, ring the office on 01793 744557 to buy the book, ‘The Mystery of Suffering’.

Matters addressed include our attitudes. Even if we believe for a pre-tribulation Rapture, many Christians in the world are going through very real tribulation, and we need to be realistic. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

A foot in both camps

Please don’t use The Expose as a source again (Health Watch, Oct/Nov issue) until you have read the article about them on Wikipedia. They seem unreliable, to put it as kindly as I can.

Secondly, not all deaths after the jab will be deaths from the jab.

Thirdly, have a look at this Imperial College London study on lives saved by the jab: which was reported in The Economist on 9 July 2022, page 85. I regard them as a trustworthy source having taken The Economist for some years.

Finally, and this is my main point, by embracing a vaccine hesitant stance to the exclusion of other views as you do, you risk being distracted from your stated role of being a Christian newspaper, which is what the Lord called you to be. What has a view on the jab got to do with following Jesus? Please try and present counter arguments as well as the ones you believe in.

I don’t know anything with certainty about Covid and the jab, not being a medic myself, but I do want to stay in fellowship with other Christian believers whatever view they take. Let’s avoid getting into camps unnecessarily.

Praying for King Charles

The BBC showed a Hindu priest saying that King Charles came into the Hindu temple and prayed with him to the Hindu gods.

Therefore I believe that Charles is religious – but not born again!

I am shocked to hear Christian leaders praying for Charles to be filled with the Holy Spirit. He cannot be filled until he has repented for praying to false gods and gets truly born again!

Also let us pray that he is delivered from Freemasonry.
