Girls wishing to become boys have been ‘de-transitioning’ after lockdown reduced peer pressure.

Writing on parenting forum MumsNet, a high school staff member revealed that in their school where nine Year 9 girls identified as boys, seven had de-transitioned since lockdown and one was considering it.

The contributor wrote, “We have found out during weekly phone calls home that since lockdown most of our [female to male] students have de-transitioned, perhaps as there is no longer the group peer pressure or affirmation from teachers?”
