POLICE OFFICERS found a live baby by her dead mother 14 hours after a car overturned into a river because they both heard an audible voice saying ‘I need help’.

A fisherman noticed the upturned car in Spanish Fork River, Utah, USA, the day after Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck, 25, skidded off the roadway.

The mother was dead and baby unconscious but Officer Brian DeWitt said: “It felt like I could hear someone telling me, ‘I need help’. It was very surreal, something that I felt like I could hear.”

Officer Warner agreed, adding: “It wasn’t just in our heads. To me, it was plain as day. I remember hearing a voice that didn’t sound like a child, just saying ‘help me’.”
