March for Jesus MargateRosie's team on the Margate march, talking with the crowd

After months of prayer, fasting and coping with various spiritual attacks, evangelist Rosie and her team saw miracles on their ‘Jesus march for Thanet’ at Pentecost.

Rosie had also spent months beforehand praying on the streets to pave the way for a spiritual breakthrough. The reward for her and her preacher friends, Jennifer from Croydon and Richard from Orpington, was seeing people, including youngsters, praying to give their lives to Christ. Four people chose to be baptised in the sea, resulting in a dash to the shops to buy them shorts and T-shirts to get ‘dunked’ in! Rosie says, “I have never experienced a march in the name of Jesus leading immediately to baptisms. Only God can make this happen.

Not only did they see fine weather, despite a forecast of heavy rain and strong winds, but Andy, a local Christian policeman, arrived to escort them. The team was even joined by visitors from France who, thanks to a social media campaign, were offered free accommodation by locals. Their next big event is planned for December.

Rosie is also appealing for various items to help the homeless, specifically large four-wheel suitcases, sleeping bags, tents, blankets, gloves, shoes, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, secondhand smartphones and funding for food if possible. Email via the HEART office if you can help and we’ll forward your telephone number to Rosie.

Below is a full report from the leaders of the Jesus March in Margate at Pentecost, 7 June, 2025. It is in their own words:

Ephesians 1:3 – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”.

First and foremost we thank Lord Jesus for the privilege of serving him to bring the gospel to the people of Margate and the Thanet borough. From months of prayer and fasting and obedience to the Holy Spirit in light of the numerous attacks we three received, God’s reward to us.

Rosie the local evangelist in Margate had a vision for a march for Jesus, the amount of time and effort and sacrifice to see God praised was relentless and unwavering. In the months leading up to Pentecost on many visits prior to the planned event the streets where walked in prayer sometimes silent but mostly quiet audible. This was to create awareness and to build relationships to share the gospel, people gave their lives to Christ, many being youngsters, this was done with evangelists and preachers Jennifer from Croydon and Richard from Orpington in Kent.

So many people had heard the good news on various social media platforms and responded, we where offered free accommodation for our oversea visitors which was a tremendous blessing, big blessings from God. So on the day it was agreed to meet at the clock tower for 11am, the forecast was strong winds, heavy rain and thunder, perfect conditions to glorify the Lord. A quick prayer was needed.

Andy, a local policeman, arrived to escort us, he was proud to be a Christian and to be part of the march. As people gathered, the atmosphere was charged with the Holy Spirit; everyone was in good spirits, it was like a family coming together. We got all the banners out and started to pray declarations over Margate and the nation and nations worldwide.

We set off towards the library playing worship songs with the big cross with a wheel on it at the front displaying a message on a flag, John 14:6 – “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me.” Many cars tooting and shouts of approval, we arrived at the open area in front of the library.

Declarations, worship and testimonies where pastors and leaders and our French friends apologising for the indifference between our nations and so we extended our apologises too. The shofar sounded before God and so we made our way back to the clock tower. Arriving at the clock tower, scripture where read and declared over the land, Praise to our God, worship songs and one of our French friends done the lead up to an altar call. In the crowd the Holy Spirit had descended, people where being ministered to by the leadership and other evangelists.

Keith (name has been changed) had made a decision to be full immersed baptised, he had just had a cancer op and was due to be accessed for chemotherapy the next day. Please pray for Keith. Then Abigail (name changed) decided she too wanted to be baptised, Oliver had prayed with her. Then Neil (name changed) in tears, decided he wanted to be baptised and final Maddie (name changed) made a decision. Finding ourselves unequipped with a change of clothing for the candidates, John made his way to the shops to buy trunks and tops for them.

We all made our way the beach to the area set aside like an enormous outdoor swimming pool which is filled by the sea. A quick prayer was needed then, because it was overcast, windy and chilly. Then God made the winds drop and the sun came out. Perfect, hallelujah. The joy as we baptised the four was tangible, the overwhelming peace and happiness as the Holy Spirit came on them, was healing and it was fun too.

This was witnessed by hundreds on the promenade and bathers in the sea and on the beach, what a testimony to our Lord Jesus. Afterwards we where all in moment, we didn’t want the day to end Keith, Neil, Abigail and Maddie with the rest of us were talking like we where all friends, it was beautiful to see in the name of Jesus.

I have never experienced a march in the name of Jesus leading immediately to baptisms, altar calls, people saying the prayer of salvation but never baptism straight away, only God can make this happen and we took it as a reward for being obedient to God.

Rosie, Jennifer and myself plan to take the candidates to lunch soon.

Finally, our next big event is planned for December 2025.
