God has not given up on Britain, but our "gate-keepers" are not godly people.

The spiritual and cultural ‘gates’ of our nation are now in the hands of gatekeepers who have no fear of God and, knowingly or not, operate under the influence of demonic powers, but the Church CAN take action now

“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory” (Psalm 24:7-10).

In biblical times, the elders of a walled city would “sit at the gates”, where they could control commerce and justice, and determine their city’s affairs and destiny (Proverbs 31:23). They were decision-making places that determined the culture and lifestyle of the people within the city. Community business was discussed and transactions were completed, as we see in the book of Ruth, where Boaz presents his case to his fellow elders. As a potential weak point in the defences of the city, the gates typically consisted of several chambers with doors and defended spaces in between. These spaces were used for all kinds of activities that impacted citizens’ lives.

For over a century, the gates of Britain have led the people further away from the Word, ways and worship of Jesus Christ

Corruption at the gates resulted in injustice and suffering for the poor. If the gates were left unguarded, the enemy could come and go at will, and eventually take over the city.
