THE CHURCH OF WALES has supported gay marriage in a secret ballot held by the governing body in Lampeter, Ceredigion.

Some 61 votes were in favour of same-sex marriage out of 120 members in the vote on September 17. The Archbishop of Wales, Dr Barry Morgan, said it was up to the Bench of Bishops on how to take the subject forward, adding it was ‘quite a long, convoluted, complicated process’.
