Worshipping and relaxing at the Big Church Day Out

Despite the May showers, a Christian crowd of 23,000 attended Big Church Day Out (South).

This gathering of believers, from all ages, denominations and walks of life gathered at the Wiston estate with one thing in common; they want to worship Jesus.

This year the line-up included the famous musical artists Casting Crowns, Newsboys, Tim Hughes and Worship Central, Hillsong Worship, Mary Mary, Bethel Music, and Rend Collective to “simply experience church”, as Chris Llewellyn of Rend Collective put it.

The atmosphere that is predominantly felt as one stands in the crowd, walks down the festival food stands or sits in the tea tent, is one of mutual care and camaraderie.
