The BBC broadcast a report by Tim Samuels of how he spent a night at an Israeli hospital staffed by Jewish, Muslim and Druze medics that is treating wounded Syrians, both soldiers and civilians, who cannot get the treatment they need at home. Some were smuggled in by the IDF (Israeli army) and others have to keep silent about coming to Israel for fear of repercussions. The programme was broadcast on Radio 4, 19 March, 13.30.
