Assistant Chief Constable Robin Merrett came to Eastbourne to meet local community groups working with Sussex Police. At an informal lunch he met representatives from Street Pastors, Beachy Head Chaplaincy (featured in HEART OF SUSSEX earlier this year) and ROC Eastbourne (Redeeming our Communities).

Sandy Medway from Eastbourne Street Pastors said, “Mr Merrett praised the dedication and commitment of volunteers who have made a real difference helping people in difficult circumstances and in reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.”
